Zayo outlines plans to expand digital network in Memphis
May 14th, 2011 | by Velma Orr |Zayo, specializing in bandwidth and dark fiber infrastructure services, plans to expand its digital capacity in Memphis.
The move will boost thepany’s local network to more than 425 route miles and allow Zayo to connect to more than 350 buildings in the Memphis metro area, the Louisville, Colo.-basedpany said today.
In addition, the project will increase fiber counts on current routes and add almost 20,000 fiber miles of additional capacity to its local footprint.
“Zayo views Memphis as a key market, based on our expansive fiber footprint, the unique network topology, and a growing customer demand for fiber connectivity,” said Matt Erickson, president of Zayo Fiber Solutions. “We look forward to putting this new fiber to work for our customers and will continue to seek opportunities to further expand our Memphis network.”
